The Treasury Department and the IRS released final regulations that include definitive guidance on the computation of unrelated taxable income (UBTI) for taxpayers with more than one unrelated trade or business. We will discuss how the guidance affects taxation in the club industry, how to identify separate trades or businesses, and look at changes in expense allocations.
