Register Here Charles D. Dorn, CCM is the Managing Director of The Dorn Group, Ltd. in Rye, New York and a long time friend of the Connecticut Chapter. Prior to founding his company in 2005, Dorn served as General Manager of the Union Club of the City of New York and as General Manager of The Chemists' Club in New York City. Dorn is dedicated to the Club management industry and has remained involved with the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) in a variety of ways. Charles served as the Managing Director of the City of New York Chapter and has served on numerous CMAA National Committees. He is the President of the NYS Club Association, a Private Club advocacy group. Dorn has completed consulting projects for various clients throughout the world including Windows on The World, Madison Square Garden and the Kentucky State Park System. Charles received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston and has continued his education at The Culinary Institute of America and at Beringer Vineyards. For many years, Dorn has been involved in hospitality education. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Dean's Advisory Board at the Hilton College and serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality at New York University. Charles was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award (2017) and the Founding Dean's Award (1998) from the Hilton College at the University of Houston. Dorn was selected by his peers as the Tanqueray Club Manager of the Year in 2001. |
